UK pilot cohort now open · 2–3 brands

Lifecycle you can see. Claims you can prove.

We bring non-electronic, responsive-material lifecycle indicators to UK intimate and functional apparel brands, helping your customers care, reuse and recycle better, and helping you evidence every claim you make.

Most labels tell you how to wash a garment. Ours show where it is in its life, so it can be cared for, kept longer, passed on and, finally, recycled. Not simply replaced.

01 · Sustainability

Make lifecycle decisions easier to get right.

We help brands make a garment’s state of use visible, so customers can care for it, keep it longer and replace it responsibly, instead of relying on guesswork, habit or vague care instructions.

Our position

A practical sustainability role

A lifecycle indicator is not a certification or an eco-label on its own. Its role is practical: helping product teams and customers understand where a garment is in its life, and connecting that to better care, use and replacement decisions.

01

Reduce guesswork

A visible lifecycle cue replaces memory and habit as the basis for care and replacement decisions.

02

Support responsible replacement

Brands can clearly explain when a garment is still within expected use, and when it is time to consider replacing it.

03

Improve lifecycle communication

Complex performance and durability ideas become one simple signal, shown on the product itself.

Where it supports better decisions

  • CustomersA visible cue showing how far a garment is through its expected use.
  • ProductsGuidance tied to your category, your lifecycle model and what is verified on samples.
  • LanguageClear terms buyers understand, never vague “eco” claims: Visible usage stateResponsible replacementAvoiding overuseAvoiding premature disposal

02 · How it works

A calibrated milestone, visible on the garment.

A non-electronic, responsive-material indicator, also called a colorimetric indicator, gradually shifts colour as a garment is worn and washed.

  1. Step 1

    Integrated

Supplied as a detachable label or a bespoke element designed into your garment and brand architecture.

  2. Step 2

    Responds

The material reacts to wear and wash cycles. No hardware, batteries or electronic components are involved.

  3. Step 3

    Informs

A visible milestone helps customers and brands make better-informed decisions about the garment’s next step.

Designed to extend life, not shorten it

Not a “replace me” signal. A guide for every stage.

  1. 0–12

    Care

  2. 13–25

    Maintain

  3. 26–38

    Reuse

  4. 39–50

    Recycle

A new garment in its prime. The indicator reinforces the right care from the very first wash.

Performance holding. A visible cue to keep caring well, so the garment lasts longer.

Still serviceable. The right moment to consider repair, refresh or a second use.

Milestone reached. Guidance to return fibre to the loop, and to replace only when needed.

03 · The business case

What it costs, in pounds and pence.

06 · UK compliance

Built for UK rules from day one.

A technology is only as good as the claims and documentation behind it. These are the standards we hold ourselves and our suppliers to.

Green claims

Customer-facing wording aligned with the CMA Green Claims Code and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. Specific, evidenced and never absolute.

Chemical & skin safety

Before supply, we require safety data sheets, UK REACH conformity and skin-contact test evidence, essential for garments worn next to skin.

Recycling compatibility

No electronic parts to remove. Compatibility is evaluated per product and recycling system, supporting mono-material goals, and never assumed.

Data & privacy

Enquiry data handled under UK GDPR, hosted in the UK-adequate EU, kept for a set period and never sold. No tracking cookies on this site.

Our claims standard

  1. Evidence first. Performance claims only when backed by test data we can share.
  2. Evaluated, never assumed. Recycling compatibility assessed per product and system.
  3. Precise language. Technologies described exactly as they work, never with vague “eco” labels.

09 · Questions

Frequently asked.

Something else? Mention it in your pilot application and we’ll cover it on the discovery call.

Won’t a lifecycle indicator encourage customers to throw garments away?

No. It isn’t a “replace me” signal. It makes a calibrated milestone visible so customers can make informed decisions about continued use, care, maintenance, reuse, recycling or, eventually, replacement.

What does it cost?

Standard labels are indicatively £0.14–£0.45 per unit depending on annual volume, excluding VAT. Use the estimator above for your range. Every pilot ends with a written sterling quote based on your final specification.

Is it safe for garments worn next to skin?

Before supplying any technology, we require safety data sheets, UK REACH conformity and skin-contact test evidence from the manufacturer, and we share the relevant documentation with your compliance team.

Can garments still be recycled?

The indicator contains no electronics. Material and recycling compatibility is evaluated against your specific product and recycling system, and the Standard label is designed to be cleanly detachable.

How should we describe it to customers?

As a non-electronic, responsive-material (colorimetric) lifecycle indicator. We help you word customer-facing claims so they are specific, evidenced and in line with UK green claims guidance.

Do you sell to consumers?

No. We supply brands and manufacturers only. All prices exclude VAT.
